Genealogy Research – Extended Package

Explore your family history in greater depth with a flexible research package shaped around the questions that matter most to you.

The Extended Package can be devoted to one ancestral line, allowing our researchers to follow that branch in greater detail. Alternatively, the available research can be divided among several family lines or genealogical enquiries. This makes the package ideal whether you want to concentrate on a particular ancestor or develop a broader understanding of your family tree.

The IHGS research team will consult appropriate genealogical and historical sources, following the available evidence to uncover new information and clarify family relationships.

At the conclusion of the research, you will receive a written narrative report explaining the work undertaken and the discoveries made. The report will include copies and transcriptions of relevant documents obtained during the research process, together with an accompanying family tree diagram where appropriate.

The availability and survival of records vary according to location, time period and individual circumstances, so particular discoveries cannot be guaranteed. However, your report will clearly document the findings and provide a reliable basis for further research.
