Genealogy Research – Foundations Package

Begin building a clearer picture of your family’s past with focused professional research into one or two ancestral lines.

The Foundations Package allows the IHGS research team to concentrate on selected branches of your family tree, following the available evidence through appropriate genealogical and historical records. It is ideal for those beginning their family history or seeking expert help establishing the foundations for further research.

At the conclusion of the research, you will receive a written narrative report explaining the work undertaken and the discoveries made. The report will include copies and transcriptions of relevant documents obtained during the research process, together with an accompanying family tree diagram showing the relationships identified.

The availability and survival of records vary according to location, time period and individual circumstances, so specific discoveries cannot be guaranteed. Your report will clearly document the findings and provide a reliable foundation for the next stage of your family history journey.
